As all doctors would say, exercise is the only way of keeping your body and spirit and soul fit and refreshed. However, physical exercise can keep only your body fit. A fit body with a disturbed mind will not achieve anything. Hence, it is very important that along with a fit body you also have very good mental health throughout your life. Keeping up your mental health amidst all rigors of life is not an easy task. As you grow up and have responsibilities put on your shoulders your mind gets engaged and rarely gets time to be refreshed and cooled. Too much stress, shorter deadlines, financial problems, family problems, work problems all of these lead to a mental breakdown in even the most physically fit men. Therefore, it’s of the utmost importance that you maintain a fit body and a fit mind. The following are some ways in which you can keep your mental health in check-
Building your Confidence – To avoid instability and insecurity in the future, it’s best if you can identify your weaknesses and accept them. Thus, you get to work on them from an early stage of your life.
Accepting Compliments – We hesitate while accepting kind words bestowed upon us but we forget that in our dire times it is those kind words, which help to keep up our belief in ourselves.
Distributing time between Family and Friends – Relationships are most important in a man’s life. If he is not able to keep up all of his relationships then a point will come when he will have nobody to share his joys and sorrows with.
Giving and Accepting Support – A relationship’s credibility comes out only during times of need. In your woeful times, you will need the support of your family and friends.
A carefully planned Budget- Financial problems are the primary cause of stress. You should look to spend more on necessities than on extravagancies.
